The Price Blooms Pay

綻放的代價(jià)

The world is a puzzle of memories,

世界是一幅由記憶組成的拼圖，

Colours bloom with the song of orchids,

色彩伴隨著蘭花的歌聲盛放，

And rivers collide at the edge of the unknown.

河流在未知的邊緣交匯。

A sunset strings a harp, serenading the night.

夕陽撥動豎琴，為夜晚奏起小夜曲。

 

Buildings higher than the self-esteem that floods from its inhabitants,

樓宇高聳，甚至高過居民涌出的自負(fù)，

shadows casting over the ruins of history.

陰影籠罩在歷史的廢墟之上。

A paint of grey washes over the landscape,

灰色的顏料涂抹過大地，

The flowers didn’t seem to dance the same way as they once did.

花朵似乎不再像從前那樣起舞。

 

Golden rays turned ashen,

金色的光線化為灰燼，

Skylight blurred dark.

天光模糊而黯淡。

Nests turned cold, hijacked with the scent of tobacco and nicotine.

巢穴變得冰冷，被煙草與尼古丁的氣味侵占。

Birdsongs flew east, no longer welcome.

鳥鳴飛往東方，再也不被歡迎。

 

My hands are brittle,

我的雙手脆弱不堪，

The trees inefficient.

樹木亦顯得無力。

Before the cliff of dawn, a flickering light snakes its way through the city.

在黎明的懸崖前，一縷閃爍的光蜿蜒穿過城市。

A whisper in everyone’s hair.

低語在每個(gè)人的發(fā)絲間徘徊。

 

It kneels before a patch of fluorescent blooms, unfazed by the night.

它跪在一片熒光花叢前，不為黑夜所懼。

Promises - a vow.

承諾——一種誓言。

Every step taken in this city is a step that echoes the recollections of a thousand lives,

在這座城市走出的每一步，都回蕩著千百人的記憶，

Smothered by grey.

卻被灰色窒息。

 

We live, breathe and receive the blessing to call the title of a street home,

我們生活、呼吸，并得到祝福，將街道的名字稱作家園，

That old tree down the street,

街尾那棵老樹，

Alley of memory,

記憶的小巷，

Protect it, keep it close.

守護(hù)它，緊緊珍藏。

 

They scorned upon the leaves and earth,

他們輕蔑地看著葉子與大地，

It was far too 'unruly',

說它太過“雜亂”，

Unkept and unwanted this world of flashy towers.

在這充斥著耀眼高樓的世界里，它被遺忘、被嫌棄。

Every leaf in this world bears its own memory, etched in blood.

然而世上的每片葉子都承載著屬于它的記憶，用鮮血鐫刻。

Money glimmers the same colour of grass,

金錢閃爍著與青草相同的顏色，

yet does it nourish the roots of life?

但它能滋養(yǎng)生命的根基嗎？

 

The lint, born with a staff,

權(quán)杖衍生的塵埃，

Ruled all humans under its command.

統(tǒng)治著所有的人類。

Blood shed, silver cuffs.

鮮血流淌，銀鐐生輝。

And if it never took the crown?

若它從未戴上那頂王冠？
